Hi, I’m Julia, I am a female driving instructor licensed by the DVSA to give driving instruction. I provide manual driving lessons and driving courses based in Callander, who is passionate about helping people become safe, confident, and responsible drivers for life.
Before becoming a driving instructor, I served as a police officer, where road safety and public wellbeing were at the heart of my work. That experience gave me a deep understanding of the importance of safe driving habits and the life skills that come with learning to drive.
I have been fortunate to train with LDC (Learner Driving Centre), gaining valuable knowledge in adult coaching techniques and modern driver training methods. The LDC learning system allows me to deliver structured, personalised lessons that are tailored to each learner’s needs, helping you progress at a pace that suits you while getting the most value from every lesson.
My teaching style is calm, patient, and relaxed. I understand that learning to drive can feel daunting at times, so I aim to create a supportive environment where you can build confidence and enjoy the learning process.
Originally from Glasgow, I settled in Stirlingshire over 20 years ago, giving me excellent local knowledge of the roads, routes, and test areas across the region.
Outside of work, I’m married to Graeme and we have four children. When I’m not teaching, I enjoy following football, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. I particularly love visiting the north of Scotland, where you’ll often find me enjoying sea swims and long walks along the beautiful coastline.
Learning to drive is about much more than passing a test—it's about developing skills that will stay with you for life. I am fully committed to helping every learner become a safe, confident, and independent driver.
